View from the 5K Starting Line
This is the runner's view as they line up on the starting line. The running area gently tapers down to about a 10 meter width over a distance of about 100 meters. The running surface is a ball diamond outfield so it is flat and consistent. At the tree line there is an asphalt path to cross followed by a gentle bend to the left.
